And the world is right.
Aug. 12th, 2008 07:47 amEver have one of those perfect days, when everything in the world feels right, and you're possessed of a deep feeling of calm and happiness? It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, pick it up, examine it so each and every little edge and waver is memorized. Hold it close to heart, savor its smell. Enjoy its quiet sound. Put it away. Bring out, repeat during the time it lasts. Store all of it in a memory box for times of need.
I woke with this deep quiet pleased-with-life feeling. I had a great day yesterday. I did my 100 words and then spent most of the evening revising a story I trunked a couple of months ago. I enjoyed the process. I don't know if anyone will publish the story. But I love my MC and I like the story, and I'm almost finished with it. The main point is that I've found my joy in the writing process again. I guess I did just need a good battery re-charge. And I still have another 4 days left after today. I'm sitting here alone with my coffee, hubby is off fishing, and the whole morning stretches out before me.
May I just say this: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
